Dear Families,
We hope you have all had a peaceful and joyous Christmas. The staff and management wish you a happy and prosperous new year. Unfortunately for Lifestart Mid-Ards the New Year is looking bleak as we have had no confirmation of long term funding to secure the project. Many parents have asked us how they can help, so we have outlined several ways below which can make a real difference to us.
Lobbying;
We need to make our local ministers understand what Lifestart means to parents and children, please contact us for a copy sample letter which, if you wish, you may complete with your contact details and sign, copy and post to our MLA’s, DHSS&PS, EHSSB, Department of Education etc or you may prefer to compose your own letter. Your signed letter can be copied at the Lifestart office and we can send the letter on your behalf to the appropriate departments named or you may wish to send your own directly.
Charity collection boxes;
We have a supply of Charity collection boxes, any families who run a business (ie shops, leisure services, licensed premises etc) may like to consider putting a collection box on the counter to collect spare change.
Coffee Mornings
Some parents have suggested hosting Coffee mornings to help raise funds, or if you have any other fundraising ideas we would appreciate all support you can give us.
We are extremely grateful to those who have already sent in contributions and letters of support and ask you to continue with your efforts on Lifestart Mid-Ards behalf.
